Review: Pittsburgh CLO’s ‘Sunset Boulevard’ doesn’t disappoint fans

TribLIVE: Between the cascading waves of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s score and emotionally charged theatrics of its leading character, “Sunset Boulevard” easily could unravel into comedy or farce. Fortunately, for fans of the original 1950 black-and-white film, the Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera production of Webber’s musical adaptation takes this story seriously.
