This event sounds super awesome! Puppets are becoming more and more involved in plays and other live performances so USITT is really keeping with it by offering a three-day workshop in puppetry. I know building puppets is a costume and props related skill, but they are becoming a new specialty department that is building and teaching puppets incorporated into performance. The varying styles being taught at the Purdue workshop (both the construction and performance skills) will give participants an edge both within established and in the new growing puppetry departments.
