Google makes surveying your audience easier.

The Producer's Perspective: Give Google enough time and they’ll figure out a way to beat just about every competitor out there (except for Facebook, of course . . . that Google Plus just doesn’t seem to be taking off). The latest Google product to get me all hot and bothered is Google Consumer Surveys.

This is an interesting concept that extends google for users to make sure they can get info and target even more individuals. Why not let google help you get data? It would be interesting to see how accurate this data is, or get more info in who will actually answer your surveys. Hopefully making sure that the right people for what you are doing is targeted. It is kinda great but getting so weird and creepy that our lives are all online, out there, and able to be "classified"

I wonder if this service will take off as much as mr. Davenport seems to think it will? Having the google name behind it certainly means something, and if this combines the power of surveymonkey with an interface like google forms, then we could be getting somewhere. I'm interested to see if it will edge it's way into the market, since survey monkey seems to be pretty solidly on top thanks to how user-friendly is. I guess the ability to massively collect data is what makes this better, but we'll have to wait and see how that works.

It makes a lot of sense to get customers' opinions directly from the source instead of from people sitting around a table like the article mentioned. Based on Google Insight's demo website, it looks like they will have a very efficient way of demonstrating the data gathered by the program to make the results easy to interpret. I wonder if the surveys will stay free or if corporate users will have to pay to use Google's services for professional product development.
