Met Opera Patron Agnes Varis Funds ``Doctor Atomic,'' $20 Rush

Bloomberg.com: Arts and Culture: "A philanthropist and pharmaceuticals executive with wide-ranging interests, Agnes Varis moves quickly when she decides to support a cause.
She committed $2.5 million so the Metropolitan Opera could produce John Adams's ``Doctor Atomic.'' Then she added $500,000 last month to reduce the cost of more than 2,000 orchestra seats as high as $220 to $30"
