I'm glad to see more and more companies coming out with green products that can replace things used in theater, however I don't think these will catch on until they are as commercially available as what we currently use. It is also interesting to think about theater "going green", because when you look at the industry we are very wasteful, throwing out huge sets and consuming massive amounts of energy for lighting and sound.
I think it's great that they are now producing natural-based foam, rather than the regular Dow Chemical stuff. That stuff is nasty, in the chemicals its manufacture produces, the chemicals released as you work with it, and the chemicals which leach into the environment when you throw it away. It's nice to see companies coming up with natural solutions to these nasty chemical problems.
