Internship Opportunity

Pittsburgh CLO Academy is offering a paid internship for a qualified candidate to assist in coordinating the 2009 & 2010 Gene Kelly Awards

This internship is a 2-year commitment:

1st year Intern
• Seeking a college sophomore or junior in the Pittsburgh area from January to June 2009
• Work with second-year intern to coordinate the Gene Kelly Awards’ show May 23, 2009
• Schedule:
o January – April: part-time around school schedule
o May: Full time
o June: Wrap-up
• $50/week honorarium for expenses

2nd year Intern
• Pre-requisite: Must have served as the 1st year intern during the prior year
• Internship runs from January to mid-June 2010
• Mentor the first-year intern in preparation for the 2010 show
• Schedule:
o January – April: part-time around school schedule
o May: Full time
o June: Wrap-up
• $100/week honorarium for expenses

Responsibilities:
• Serve as point person for all contacts involved in the show
o Teachers and students from 30+ schools in the Pittsburgh region
o 25-30 arts professionals, arts managers, and arts educators serving as judges for the awards
o Pittsburgh CLO and CLO Academy staff
o 20+ presenters
• Prepare and manage all documents for meetings
• Collect school videos and edit and arrange visual media for awards show
• Organize and order all awards
• Help manage and organize performers and guests backstage during show
