Pitt Rep kicks off season with bilingual collaboration
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review: "The University of Pittsburgh Repertory Theatre will kick off the fall theater season with the world premiere of a play that explores cultural differences between Europeans and Americans and endeavors to address our mutual tendency toward stereotyping and marginalization."

We would love German playwright! He would not have opinion after turning in the script and would not appear in rehearsal rooms. Then the director might be able to adjust the lines more easily. Stage manager could control the rehearsal time more effectively.
Indeed the cultures between the States and Europe are different. The European director has more “freedom” to do what he wants and to make decision. In cinema area, Hollywood producer might decide the end of stories. That’s why the principal roles never die and the end of sotries is usually happy. By contrast, the end of European films might be sometimes confusion for the audience.
