The problem today with consolidated radio ownership has caused the a huge decline in listeners. We no longer need it...we are a generatiion of ipods, cds and xm satellite radio... we no longer need the local owenship because they aren't able to provide what we want...the "hipster" generation wants to be bale to support that local scene...we must find a way to bring it back and revive the locale mentality and the generations will follow and we will find a revival.
It amazes me that congress would even say that, that it just didn't matter. If Disney wanted to control all telivision stations there would be an outcry because people are so closely tied in to that area. I doubt that people even know what the situation is with the radio is. It is something that needs to be controlled.
