New York Uptown: Musical In the Heights Begins Off-Broadway Jan. 9
Playbill News: "With a book by Quiara Alegria Hudes and a score by Lin-Manuel Miranda, In the Heights follows 'two days in the life of Washington Heights, a vibrant and tight-knit neighborhood at the top of Manhattan,' according to the producers. 'From the vantage point of Usnavi's corner bodega, we experience the joys, heartbreaks and bonds of a Latino community struggling to redefine home.'"
