Of course, now they make a musical on "Finding Nemo"... after "Little Mermaid"... Well, now the only thing that needs to be made into the musical is "Shriek!!!"

This is something I heard about a long time ago when me and a couple of friends were looking at audition calls. I think around this time was when they were also talking about stage versions "The Little Mermaid" and "Aladin" although this one sparked the most concern because I had no idea how they were going to visually make this become a reality. Although I would be quite excited to see what is done with "Finding Nemo- The Musical". One question which was on my mind was if they were going to use something like aboriginal inspiration behind the design of the show. I might have to make a visit to Disney the next time I go home to see.

I would like to announce that Ryan Tanker and I will be performing this entire show next week, seeing as he has downloaded the entire soundtrack, and we have studied it with great effort and interpretive dance moves...it promises to be better than the original…which no one has seen yet

If this comes from the creative minds that brought the Aladdin show to Disney's California Adventure it will be amazing. Jill and I went on a backstage tour after seeing the 8 million dollar production there. The show was mounted a few years ago and it is truely amazing from a technical standpoint. The main drop has to have dual arbours joined because of the massive 4 1/2 ton drop. The flying carpet rig in the celing is also amazing and rides on a tracking system similar to the Ka! deck only the orientation is horizontal vs vertical. Overall I hope to see the show soon. The soundtrack is fun.

Alana... I'm totally there! You guys better go through with it! ;-)

On another note... Yeah, like Travis said... I'm a bit concerned about the designs for this... Although... Lion King is an AMAZING design... but that's not underwater. Bah, I think I'm more curious than concerened actually...

...I wonder if they'll put that cute little green fish that has like 20 seconds of footage in... He was so cute...

Now I feel like watching Finding Nemo... o_O

I have to say that after hearing some of the songs, I am not a huge fan. On reason is that I am not so fond of musicals, but I also LOVED Finding Nemo the Movie because of the character's voices. With the musical, you lose the amazing original voices.....no one can top Ellen DeGenerous!!!!

About 1/4 of the way down the page are a few production photos. Of course Michael Curry is involved. Who else haha. The puppets are much more animated looking than the "tribal" look of Curry's work for The Lion King. Listening to the music and looking at a few of the puppets, it is pretty obvious that Disney was looking to keep the work a lot more in the realm of "cartoons" than Lion King and Tarzan. I wonder how they'll do the humans in the dentist's office.
