This exhibit of Long's career would be fascinating to actually look at and see. His work is so varied and his design style so so unique that something like this would appear to be a once in a lifetime opportunity to go and see. It would be exciting to see if this exhibit would tour.

We always see movie wardrobe on display in exhibits, but it is nice to hear about an exhibit outside of NY that honors the man that designed the costumes, instead of an exhibit that worships the people that once wore the costumes. It would be lovely to get close the the work and see the details and the ins and outs of the way they were designed and fabricated.

I really, really wish I could go see the exhibit. I agree with Grego that you always see film costumes on display, I've actually seen three or four of them, but never theater. There is a definite difference between them. Its a bit sad that I had admired those designs before but didn't realize they were all by Long.
