'9 Parts of Desire'

Courier Journal: "'9 Parts of Desire' is a one-woman show that tells the interrelated stories of nine Iraqi women -- a painter, a Bedouin, an expatriate intellectual, a teen with a taste for the sound of boy bands and a well-trained ear for the sound of artillery, a doctor treating children terribly affected by the radiation that lingered in Iraq after the 1991 Gulf War, and others. The stories are based on nearly a decade of interviews and conversations Raffo conducted in Iraq and with Iraqi expatriates in the United States and Europe."
