This gives me hope to see that even in the time of Trump there might be some future for the arts. I was also encouraged to see that 220,000 people sent in messages to their representatives and that 13,000 of them were in the three days leading up to that vote. If the house of representatives could have so much bipartisan support for the arts why can’t they come together and find solutions to healthcare, immigration, net neutrality and the multitude of other problems facing the county. The national endowment for the arts provides the resources to all types of artists and organizations to create an environment in America for art to bloom. I am filled with joy and inspired to hear that Congress is supporting the arts and listening to those who are standing up and advocating for the arts.
