I have mixed feelings about this concept and the technology behind it. To start off that is a very cool way to show characters to the audience of an RPG. Then to build off of that my immediate worry with this technology is then the chance of using AI to animate and control the shown character so that that the character can interact with an audience. As this would then remove the chance for someone to create the animations and interactions themselves, or even to have a person in MOCAP at a different location hearing the audience and responding accordingly. Despite this worry though I am curious to see how this technology can be used an grow. Maybe there will be a day were it will commonplace to be able to stand in front of a virtual character of any game, move, or other media in actual size. This could create some very interesting meet and greets between fans and virtual characters.
