AMERICAN THEATRE: A central idea we’ve found ourselves contemplating at Cherry is that of authenticity. Alongside the three pillars—diversity, equity, and inclusion—that organizations throughout our society are working (with varying degrees of real commitment) to adopt, the casting world often adds “authenticity” as a fourth.
