I really liked this article! I’m a really big movie buff, so it was really cool for me to get some more info about what goes into such memorable movies. Additionally, It was extra interesting for me because I’ve seen so many of those movies, so I really enjoyed getting to learn more about them. I think costuming is a really important part of character development; it’s a fantastic way for audiences to get visual clues about a character, such as their background or personality, without the need for lengthy exposition. The costume design of a character can also make them more recognizable - Jason, from Friday the 13th for example, is recognized from just a hockey mask, and Freddy Kruger’s design gives him the iconic silhouette the audiences know today. As a whole I think it’s really important for everyone to recognize how important costuming is to a character, and I liked that this article gave the designers the recognition they deserve!
