The Set Set: Three seasons into "Nobody Wants This," audiences know what to expect from its leading ladies' wardrobes: covetable knitwear, excellent denim, and the sort of effortlessly cool Los Angeles dressing that makes viewers immediately head to articles like this one to find where everything was sourced. But while Joanne (Kristen Bell), Morgan (Justine Lupe), and Esther (Jackie Tohn) may have firmly established fashion identities, the show's third season finds all three women navigating unfamiliar territory.

It is very interesting to me how actors, as people, influence their characters’ appearance. I feel like Kristen Bell and Joanne are the same person. I know they aren't, but she portrays this character so realistically that I have a hard time differentiating the two. I really appreciate how her character arc is represented through her wardrobe. She is making the effort to be more conservative given the seriousness of her relationship with Noah, but she is still herself. The wardrobe team managed to make her look as though she never purchased anything new, but instead worked with what she had and gave off a more mature look. I also really appreciate Noah’s wardrobe choices as well, as his shy, more innocent personality was challenged a bit this season. Both of the characters looked as though they were growing together, and I think that is a beautiful contribution to their story this season.
