I haven’t heard of The Scout but it seems like an interesting concept. I think location scouting for a movie or tv show is such a cool job and definitely a challenging one in a busy city like New York. I can’t imagine it is easy to find locations that will allow you to film, especially if you need to close down the area for an extended period of time to do so. Plus filming somewhere publicly adds the layer of unwanted people, distractions, and/or noise on set. Also it is so impressive that the location scouts Paula González-Nasser consulted know all the best places to film certain scenes in the city that are relatively reliable to book and film at. They seem to know all the best places, what the typical limitations are, anything else relevant to what they need for a particular scene. That level of detail in such a chaotic and changing environment is impressive.
