Anolis enjoys Light + Building Expo
LightSoundJournal.com: LED lighting manufacturer Anolis enjoyed a busy and positive Light + Building 2026 expo in Frankfurt, Germany, where it launched two new products – Calumma Arts in collaboration with French Light and Calumma UN (Ultra Narrow) – and engaged with a host of visitors from across Europe and around the world.

This is such exciting news that people are continuing to work on innovative lighting products that are cool and helpful to the lighting industry. I really want to see some pictures from the expo to get a feeling of what is happening over there without actually visiting. I feel like it was a super fun experience for most people who actually visit. I am assuming that Anolis is based in Europe, since they were involved in an expo there. I know that artists, technicians, and designers from around the world come to visit, but it will also be fun for them to tour the expo around the world to allow more people around the globe to get exposed to their new products. The journal was shown to us in the US, so they should be able to come over someday and show the people here something new and innovative. Although the new lighting instrument sounds interesting, I still feel like this article gets into the details of the machine itself and is not attractive to people who are interested in using it as a design tool, since the most sellable content is hard to determine from the construction of this article.
It was great to meet the US Sales representatives from Anolis last fall when they came and visited us for the Robe NRG event. I am interested to see how Anolis continues to grow in the architectural market, and how their market mirrors the entertainment market that Robe targets. Talking to the Robe and Anolis representatives, it was interesting to hear how the same technology could go into both architectural and entertainment fixtures. That being said, they are still distinct fixtures because of different requirements for installation, weather proofing, and aesthetics. One great example was the ways in which the Robe Footsie used the same technology as an in-ground uplight fixture from the Anolis brand. They serve the same purpose of casting light upward. The entertainment version needs to be durable for the road and modular in order to be set up for every show, while the Anolis product needs to be able to last for a long time outside in public. I am curious how the two product lines will continue develop, and if it will be together or separate.
