I really really really want to see this show. It sounds amazing! What a way to take a mediocre musical with a unique and interesting concept to make it a wonderful show! I'm beyond excited for this team. I hope this will spark more new and interesting interpretations of musicals and scripts. Could you take Les Mis and spin a new concept on it? There's so many great musicals and an infinite realm of possibilities of concepts to spin on. This is why I love Shakespeare! It always has such unique and interesting concepts– like R&J on the moon! (Just kidding). I’m reminded of my favorite Shakespeare production: Henry the 6th at the Old Globe. Presented in two parts, performed on alternating nights. Act one was more classic Shakespearean, but when war broke out in act 2 it jumped to modern day. In one moment in particular they dramatizing January 6th.

I feel like unlike the majority of audience members who go to musicals often, I actually don't hate the original musical of CATS, I have mixed feelings on it, but I don't hate it as much as many people do. I think it's a very weird show, and some of the songs are very annoying. However, the musical itself is not bad if done correctly. I think this Broadway revival is exactly what the musical CATS needed. It seems like such a unique way to make a kind of weird show even weirder in a good way I think that taking the furry cat costumes out of the equation also helps with this a lot because that is my biggest issue with the show is that I always feel kind of uncomfortable around the cats as they are in very weird furry like costumes I really want to see this show when I take my trip to New York City in a few weeks, because I've loved all of the design choices so far.
