ANNY 12: the new 12" battery-powered by LD Systems
LightSoundJournal.com: With the ANNY 12, LD Systems introduces a 12″ battery-powered, 2-way full-range mobile PA system, designed to combine the convenience of a Bluetooth speaker with the performance, sound quality, and connectivity typical of a professional PA system. The goal is to offer a versatile and easily transportable solution for all those situations where powerful sound is needed without the availability of a power outlet.

I think this is a cool technology and all. But I'm really struggling to see who would actually use this. In the same vain that the only reason that Dante has as much of a space in the world that it does, that being it's reliability. Handling audio like this doesn't strictly scream reliable, and I understand that most people wouldn't be delivering their audio via bluetooth. But that still doesn't explain the use for the batteries. Because if you're gonna have to run one cable to it. Why not just run the other one too. This product just doesn't make sense. Unless you are in a serious hurry, and just need something that you can just plug and play in a specific space. That doesn't have any other signals floating around in for bluetooth interference, and for that I guess it would be okay. But for most people you could just get a standard PA system thats wired and have it work probably 100x better than this setup. Bluetooth just will never be reliable enough for me to ever consider it for an audio solution.
