This is such an awesome light shone on drag race. I haven't heard any talk about their production and scenic design before, mainly just praise over the queens and their personalities along with praise of the general plot of the show. It's so cool to see just how much work and thought goes into the scenic pieces of drag race, especially in their season 17 “RDR” live episode. I also think that it is very clever of the writers to have a saturday night live spin on drag race. The production design for each set up is very well thought out and honestly wise. All the colors are bright and punchy which evoke the mood drag race likes to maintain. I think it's really important for production designers to maintain the same mood that they need when making references to other pop culture set ups or homage because it establishes that it is still their own work rather than a carbon cut copy.
