The Tony Awards are coming in September, but will be different this year

DC Metro Theater Arts: As was previously announced, the 74th annual Tony Awards, presented by the American Theatre Wing and The Broadway League, will take place on Sunday, September 26, beginning at 7:00 pm, with a reduced field of eighteen shows eligible for this year’s honors. In addition to the limited number of nominees, there will be other significant changes to the long-awaited celebration of the best of Broadway, postponed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
