Six tips for attending a Broadway show in the COVID era

www.timeout.com: On August 20, I attended a performance of Antoinette Chinonye Nwandu's urgent and timely Pass Over, the first Broadway play to open since the general shutdown in March of last year. It was my first time in a Broadway house in more than 17 months, as it was for many: You could feel the excitement and gratitude in the theater's briskly circulating air.

As someone who strives to join the theater industry I enjoyed this article very much. It gave me hope and genuine excitement for Broadway's big come back! I am also happy to hear that there are COVID 'bouncers' to keep us all safe, and that people were open and willing to perform that job. I think it is important for theatrical companies (and any large corporation) to demonstrate that they care about keeping everyone from actors, to technicians, to audience members safe. It is also inspiring that we live in a time and space where audience members will go to a show and remain loyal to live theater despite the obstacles in their way. In a time like the pandemic actors and technicians alike struggle to actively pursue their passion, this constant support is so meaningful. Thank you to all the people who support the theatrical arts loyally.
