More Adam Savage. I'll start my response with my conclusion: can never have too much Adam Savage. He’s such a cool man. What I have realized during the madness of this pandemic is that when times get tough humans can do some pretty amazing things. Yes, we created or allowed for a lot of the problems we are facing to become as bad as they are, but in light of that people are starting to reflect on what we can do to overcome obstacles. The internet has always been a great resource for learning and knowledge but with the current outbreak people are starting to share even more knowledge, and some places are breaking down financial barriers. I think that in this time when we are starting to worry about people in the world that can’t afford basic needs we are starting to realize just how money-focused our society is (we are all aware and yet we continue to fall victim to valuing material things) While watching podcast like this I’m thankful for people like Adam Savage that put their knowledge and experience out in the public free of charge (sure there are still things that his company does to profit off of the knowledge and content they are generating but the free accessibility to the content and entertainment is greatly appreciated. Well, that was a weird response to this particular video and the story about Adam’s Finger (hope it heals well) but the coronavirus has had me reflecting for the past few weeks. I will tie back to this specific video by commenting that I watched the podcast at double the regular speed and it was very funny to listen to Adam blow his nose throughout the video, haha it sounds like a trumpet or a bumblebee.
