Adam Savage's One Day Builds: Making a Die Filer Machine!
Tested: Adam uses the time he has during quarantine to finish up a kit he's been working on for over a year: a die filing machine. It's a tool Adam learned about watching Clickspring, and the kit requires machining and finishing beautiful cast pieces as well as mounting it to a motor and stand.

No matter what it is, Adam Savage always seems to find tools that are so specific to very niche trades, yet finds uses for them in his shop. This is absolutely a great example of one of those tools. As he explains at the beginning, a die filer machine is used to for fine, precise, filing of small parts in watch making. While I don't know this for sure, I do not think that Adam Savage is a huge watch maker, and for this reason, I can only assume that he has some idea of what he can use this machine for in his shop. That all being said about the tool, it, as always, was super interesting to watch Adam Savage build this machine as the way he builds things is always so precise. From drilling the holes in the bottom of the machine, to the building of the plywood base, nothing he does is less than perfect.

This man inspires me to do more with my life… how does he do so much! I love Adam Savage, the coolest man alive. His shop makes me jealous. AHHH what an inspiration. Ok, I’m done. Haha. How does he have so many tools!!! Do companies just send him tons of tools and things to try out? Like that is awesome!!!
DUDE the marker that he mentions in the video is so cool!!! Adam Savage's Favorite Tools: Pica Marker:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmEijVgUKkE (in this video Adam fully sniffs a sharpie marker and falls in love with the smell, dude that ain't good for you, haha) I think I am going to buy one of these for my dad (he is an engineer and mechanist) I am not going to become a mechanist, engineer, or even a TD (light is life) but I have so much respect for the knowledge that people like Adam Savage have (and their ability to do really really cool things)
