Technical Director: The Denver Center Theatre Company, a division of The Denver Center for the Performing Arts is accepting applicants for the position of Technical Director, duties and requirements include:

  • Responsible for the development of production budgets, calendars and schedules with the Director of Production, and adhering to the same.
  • Responsible for supervision of DCTC workshops, warehouses, and theatres.
  • Responsible for achieving technical production deadlines, establishing and maintaining production standards. 
  • Responsible for direct leadership of 4 staff members, and leadership of entire production team, including; hiring , performance planning and performance management, performance and compensation decisions, direction of work,
  • Responsible for the revision, oversight and training of the Hazard Communications and Safety program for DCTC personnel and all related training and safety training requirements.

Requirements Include: Bachelor’s degree required.  Five years of Technical Direction experience in operations of similar size and scope. Working knowledge and experience with tools utilized in scenic construction and engineering, both wood and metal working.  Previous experience with union agreements preferred.  Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Office products, AutoCad and Vectorworks.

This position is a full time benefited position.
