Watch the Heroes of Cosplay At Work This August On Syfy
The Mary Sue: Are you prepared for the world to learn about cosplay? Ready or not, Syfy is about to dive in with their new series Heroes of Cosplay and we finally know who’s in the cast!
We previously learned about not one, but two geeky reality shows coming to Syfy. One, Fandemonium, seems like The Real World populated with all nerds, the other previously had the working title of Cosworld but has since transformed into Heroes of Cosplay.

If there's a reality show about it, you know it's real. Today there are many kinds of reality shows based off of anything ranging from hysterical Miami moms to auctioneers in Texas. We as a society are so entertainment based that we' rather watch other peoples' lives play out than go out and live our own. For example, comicons aren't hard to attend and they are usually very fun. So wouldn't you rather get up and experience one for yourself?
Although I'm excited for the show, it's unlikely that I will watch much of it. I really don't find much reality tv interesting at all but I love cosplay and the people who do it. I've never actually cosplayed myself, but I'm a complete nerd and it's wonderful to see so many people as geeky as I am. Each of these people come from completely different background to bond over games, comics and shows. I like the niche group it creates.
