SMPTE Creates New Technology Committee Dedicated to Cinema Sound

Below the Line: The Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) announced the creation of TC-25CSS – a new technology committee dedicated to cinema sound. The committee will work to update SMPTE standards and recommended practices to address opportunities created by the technical advances since standards were last updated, as well as to improve the quality and consistency of cinema sound.
