These Aren’t The Droids You’re Looking For…
Adaptistration: There’s a terrific article by Janos Gereben in the 3/25/2013 edition of the San Francisco Classical Voice that begins to push past much of the talking point fluff coming from the San Francisco Symphony (SFS) and its musicians. In short, there’s plenty of ambiguous spin and attempted caginess to go around; all of which only makes the entire labor debacle look that much worse. But the part which should catch your attention is toward the end when the focus turns to proposed work rule changes.

This article is as confusing as the confusion about which it is written. It seems to be talking about the lack of substantive information regarding work rule discussions at the San Francisco Symphony, but has little real information to go on. That indicates that either there is a lot of discussion that is being kept closely secret, or no discussion of work rules at all, which the author points out would be atypical for a CBA negotiation. So I am confused what the author's point is and why he wrote this article....
