Clive Barnes Nominees Named
Stage Directions: The Clive Barnes Foundation has named the nominees for the 2012 Clive Barnes Awards, which recognizes the work of young actors and dancers in New York City. This year’s nominees for acting are: Joaquina Kalukango (Hurt Village at Signature Theatre Company), Derek Klena (Dogfight at Second Stage Theatre), Rob McClure (Chaplin on Broadway) and Stephen Tyrone Williams (My Children, My Africa, Signature Theatre Company). In dance the nominees are Lauren Lovette (New York City Balle t), Steven Melendez (New York Theater Ballet), and Ashley Murphy (Dance Theater of Harlem). Winners will be announced on Dec. 10.
