Job Description - Carpenter
The successful applicant must have experience in theatre
carpentry. Previous knowledge of theatre carpentry; flats, both Hollywood and
Broadway; platforms; and tool knowledge is required.
We need a self-starting individual who is able and
willing to work independently at times with minimal supervision. Good communications
skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to effectively work as a part
of a team is necessary.
Duties include, but are not limited to: helping build
each show; helping maintain the integrity of the shop, tools, and inventory;
and load in and load out of all shows.
The position is available for our 2013 season, August
27th 2012 thru July 14th 2013. Competitive pay with benefit, travel stipend,
and housing for one month for transitioning into Montgomery living is
available.
