Robe Olympic Torch is a Winner for Light Relief at PLASA
Lighting&Sound America Online - News: The Olympic Torch donated by Czech moving light manufacturer Robe Lighting's CEO Josef Valchar, was auctioned at the PLASA trade exhibition at Earls Court in London on Monday. It was won for £6,200 by European AV rental company, AED Rent.
The proceeds are going to entertainment technology industry charity, Light Relief.

It is great that Robe donated this torch instead of putting it up at their head quarter and let it collect dust since it is the last thing that it did. I wonder what the company that got the torch is going to do with it. I know that there is a lot of these torches that are floating around and you have to usually buy the torch that you carried or give it back. I hope that the foundation that the money went to does some great work. I hope that in the future more entertainment companies get a chance to carry Olympic torches and does similar things with them and helps arts organizations get more funding form this means of fundraising..
