Prior to reading this article I didn't fully understand what the ETC was, and now after doing some additional research I'm much more interested in how this might impact us here in the SoD.
Interdisciplinary studies is something that has already peeked my interest, especially with the architecture and engineering departments, now I wonder if any of these interactions will change or increase and what will be available/rewarding for SoD folks.

I really like articles like this that introduce people taking over new positions in the university. We get those emails saying this person is taking over this position, and it usually has a brief description of who they are, but these articles on the website definitely give you a broader view of who they are. I'm really interested in his team that he has been leading... "spanning rehabilitation medicine, neuroscience, engineering, design and the arts". It seems like he has a really great and expansive background that could be extremely beneficial for the Vice Provost for Design, Arts and Technology.
