Next PPT season could have a new Tony winner
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: When the Tony Award nominations were announced on May 1, Ted Pappas had himself a twofer -- best play nominees "Clybourne Park" and "Other Desert Cities" are on Pittsburgh Public Theater's schedule for next season.
"I was able to get the rights to 'Clybourne Park' before it had been on Broadway. I was able to get the rights to 'Other Desert Cities,' and they're going to be duking it out for the Tony Award. Clearly, those are the two hottest plays of the year," the Public's producing artistic director said.
