It is great that USITT has become a gold-level supporter of the NATEAConference. Aside from the NATEAC directly supporting the theatrical industry, it brings together professionals from industries from which the theatrical one "borrows".
The NATEA Conference sounds like it will run similarly to USITTs annual conference, which has been well received. The availability of reduced tickets and proximity to Broadway for backstage tours, et cetera should encourage more theatrical persons to attend, since there are always more conferences than time someone in this industry can get off.
It appears that the NATEA Conference may not be annual (?). They mention keeping the price the same as 2008, which is great since the price of everything else has gone up.
Also, who would not want to go on a harbor cruise with a bunch or riggers, engineers, and architects?
