Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Never have I seen so many tiaras in one place as at "Disney's Beauty and the Beast" Tuesday night, and if anyone wanted more sparkle as they left Heinz Hall, there were folks across the street selling light-up wands and necklaces. The Disneyland atmosphere complemented this touring show, which skews young in its slapstick humor and colorful excess. If the Beast's roar lacks bite, well, we know that in a Disney-fied world, 'tis Beauty who saves the Beast and enchants throngs of little girls.

Stage review: 'Beauty and the Beast' give young fans an enchanted evening

I don't think I will ever get tired of this show. It is absolutely understandable that kids are wide awake the entire time. It could be argued that kids these days dont have the same disney experience that we did when we were little tikes. If you think about the number of animated Disney movies that were released 20 years ago it's almost shocking. What does this new generation have in way of classic fairy tale stories? I find it hard to think of them. The musical version of this show allows this classic Disney movie to live on in new hearts!
This is such a wonderfully classic story that children in any generation will enjoy. It is true that our generation has a different connection to the stories than then the children watching them now. But there is still a lot of love for the movies from the children. When I am in Disney land I like watching all of the star struck little kids as they walk up to their favorite character or all the little girls in princess dresses. This show allows children to watch their favorite movie in a new way.
