Free theatre ticket scheme had mixed results

This is an interesting little article and idea. I had no that the government covered all those tickets in order for people under 26 to freely see any show they so desired. Our government has difficulty supporting the arts in your average high school.
Even if this little experiment was a flop, it is good that they tried it in general. It is comforting that 37% would actually take the initiative and see the show, regardless of the free tickets or not. Finding shows, any variety is worth the time and can teach everyone so much about theater or the different types of theater or performance choices.
Overall, this is a great idea and maybe we should try something like that in the state (Cough cough...).
Holy poop; 88% of people who took free tickets said they would return again later? That's a pretty damn good percentage...it still remains to be seen if even half of that percentage actually DO come back; but even if only half do that's still a pretty good response, I think. Is it worth all the funding? The choir here says, "Yes!"
