Stage Directions: Broadway in Chicago has announced the five finalists for its 2012 Emerging Theater Award. The winning theater will receive $5,000, consultation with Broadway in Chicago staff, and a marketing package that includes advertising support. The winner will be announced May 14 at the League of Chicago Theatres Annual Gala. The finalists are: 16th Street Theater, Red Tape Theatre, Sideshow Theatre Company, The Music Theatre Company, Theatre Seven of Chicago.
