Fall Arts Preview / Stage: Premieres Abound
Post Gazette: City Theatre has just announced casting that will have hearts of TV fans fluttering. Luke Macfarlane, who played Scotty Wandell on ABC's "Brothers & Sisters" and has been on Broadway this year in "The Normal Heart," will take on the title role in the world premiere of "Sam Bendrix at the Bon Soir." Keith Bunin's play is about a young singer's final performance in 1958 Greenwich Village, and features music by Cole Porter, Leonard Bernstein and the Gershwins. The play runs in the South Side theater's Hamburg Studio Stage in November.
