This is great to see and I couldn't agree more with Kenny's kind word about DR. He mentioned 110% commitment and that hardly describes DR. His passion and commitment to the school is unparalleled. Working on work study for him is a blast and I enjoy every minute of working with him.
More and more I find out about all of these awards and achievements that members of the School of Drama are achieving. It is great but not publicized much. I think the whole School of Drama community should get to hear about these achievements.
Absolutely fantastic! The statements made about Ari Blackford and David Randolph could not be more correct! Both members of the drama community are so incredibly dedicated to the work that they do, and so much of that is integral to the way Purnell is run. There is so much that would not be possible without the two of them, and they definitely put in "110%". I agree with Jackson: these achievements should be known throughout the School of Drama, but also the whole campus! These teachers, Ari, David, and all the others nominated, deserve that sort of recognition.
Although I don't know DR or Ari personally, all I hear are great comments on them both. When we were getting ready to do our string project DR was kind enough to come into our class and talk with each group separately to make sure we were going about building everything safely. Later on me and my partner for the project went and bugged him on several other occasions in the shop to ask him questions. He never seemed to get annoyed and was always eager to help us out. Theses kinds of things should not go unnoticed. I agree with the point Jackson made about the awards not being publicized enough. I'm sure that if we spread the work we could get a pretty good size group to come support DR and Ari on Friday, it's just one way we could show our appreciation for all that they do for us.
This Is absolutely Fantastic! Out of all the people in the school of Drama Community (yes we really are a community) These two standout as some of the most deserving of recognition. The contribution that both of them make to this program is unmeasurable. And coming off of what Jackson mentioned in his comment, this is the type of news that should be published in a wider spectrum. All too often we don't hear of the minor and major successes of some of the instrumental Gears in our little machine called the School of drama. I hope these two get the recognition and respect they both very much deserve.
