I have to admit I didnt actually know what being in the Theater Hall of Fame really entailed. Its kind of interesting really how much you have really have had to have done with your career in order to be acknowledged with this award. I love Tyne Daly, and I am embarrassed to say that I had never really known of her Broadway career. I had seen "Cagney and Lacey" and "Judging Amy" but am happy to learn that she has had such a startling career in the theatre as well. I always like that when actors that I really like who are really very good secretly are really known for theatre. Like Kevin Spacey went to Juilliard who knew?
just as sonia puts it I too did not really know of what the Theater Hall of Fame really meant. After reading this article definitly sheds some light on it but not until you see who is nominated and what they've accomplished does it really get put into perspective. People like Tyne Daly and Daniel Sullivan, such careers and accomplishments. Daniel with a tony and five other tony nominations. This article was also fun because it lead me to take a look at each of these inductees background.
