Having been in the position of having to drill pocket hole joinery with only a handheld cordless drill and an endless supply of patience, I believe that the Porter Cable QuikJig Pocket Hole Jig should be moved to the top of the list ASAP. The fact that it is bench mounted, opposed to other jigs that must be strapped onto the wood itself, makes the task of drilling pocket holes a breeze. Nonetheless, the star player in this device is the "feeler gauges" that automatically adjust the depth of the hole being drilled into each individual member. This is a tool that should be on every shop's purchase list, being that the time saved by using it would cause it to practically pay for itself within the first year. And the sturdy metal casting ensures it will last much longer than that. A++!!
