This is probably the worst counterweight and rigging issue. Not only did they improperly use a counterweight system, they cost time, and lots of money. This stresses the importance of proper training, and execution. Hopefully the crew has learned the importance of using a counterweight system correctly, and that more people will take caution after hearing this. It is sad that they had to cancel performances. Having to cancel shows due to broken pipes caused by an error is not the best. Thankfully a lot of the equipment was ok, and that they were able to save most of it.
