Loews Philanthropists Dress Up the Met's Costume Institute With $10 Million Gift
Yahoo! News: "The Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute, the glamorous branch of the Fifth Avenue institution best known for hosting a star-studded annual gala, has received a massive $10 million gift from New York philanthropists Jonathan and Lizzie Tisch. The couple has donated the money toward renovations for the costume department's existing gallery — last refurbished in 1992 — and a major expansion. Their contribution will fund the creation of a 4,200-square-foot exhibition space, which will be named the Lizzie and Jonathan Tisch Gallery, and will also help finance additional of storage facilities and the development of a new conservation center.

It's always exciting when a big donation like this is made. I would love to one day visit this exhibition and this is definitely important for any designer in the theater world and out. I hope one day I get to see it.
