Check out New Sketching Capabilities in AutoCAD

Lynn Allen's Blog: "Now AutoCAD can help you create the perfect date! Watch this super cool video and you’ll see what I mean - http://bit.ly/bXdjMu . This incredible sketch was created in AutoCAD. It references an AutoCAD solid model of a martini glass and uses the new free sketching add-in for AutoCAD based on the alias sketching technology."

Okay, so this pretty much looks like a hybrid between photoshop and AutoCAD... I think that this is pretty cool, and of course the drawing that they had as the example looks amazing, but, AutoCAD is not going to do this for you. You need to already have artistic ability for your renderings to end up looking like this. Plus, although it is pretty cool, I'm not really convinced that this is necessary in AutoCAD. AutoCAD is meant for drafting... This is not drafting, this is drawing. I feel like it may be suited better for something else.

i'm still not quite sure how this is intended to be used... apart from being native to the CAD program, I don't see what makes this much different from doing a rendering in photoshop or illustrator, and then importing into CAD...
