NTC student: "Save our secret buried treasure"

The Denver Post: "Sean Lyons is a third-year MFA acting student at the National Theatre Conservatory, meaning he will graduate in May. He did his undergraduate work at Pepperdine University, and moved here in 2007 after was accepted into the NTC.
In an attempt to help the people of Denver to understand what it risks losing if the NTC should close as scheduled in 2012, he wrote this introduction explaining what the NTC is, and why its survival should matter to everyone who lives here."

I think that this open letter to the City of Denver was not only funny and engaging but also very informative. I feel like it can often be the case that a city has a rare gem that goes unnoticed .Its a shame that it takes a potential closing for publicity to increase, but I hope they do garner the attention of the people in Denver. Its really unfortunate that they don't take advantage of the theater they have available to them. I hope people are encouraged to give as the program being full scholarship really opens the door to some very talented but perhaps not as privileged young actors.
