The Long Road of the Chicago Theater Database

I remember reading about the development of this database last semester and remarking on how infeasible the concept of linking every Chicagoland theatre was - but I suppose it's been partly successful so far! The writers say that the project was largely personal, but I think that once the Database has a user-friendly interface and a bit more participation from the theatres, it will be a spectacular resource for both theatre professionals and for patrons looking for shows to see. The concept of opening access to historical archives is probably a nerve-wracking prospect for theatres, but putting the archives in public would be a tremendous research resource.
