Lincoln Center to Stage Almodóvar’s Musical ‘Women’
NYTimes.com: "The new musical “Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown,” based on the 1988 Pedro Almodóvar film, and the acclaimed British production of the play “War Horse” will be two of the major shows of the 2010-11 season at Lincoln Center Theater, executives there said on Thursday."

I'm pleasantly surprised that Lincoln theater is closing South Pacific, after it's large profits. Perhaps I'm reading the article wrong but if turnout hasn't dropped below the profit margin then this decision shows some panache. It's always nice to see someone take a risk to open the door for newer theater so I hope this goes well for them. I'm especially interested in how the puppetry in War Horse works out. Puppet theater I think is a medium that's often discounted as for children, when the possibilities are huge as The Beast of Skitter Creek showed us this past weekend.
