Tamasha Takes Lorca to Pakistan at Hampstead
Whatsonstage.com: "After transforming Wuthering Heights into a Bollywood-style musical last year (See News, 19 Feb 2009), British Asian theatre company Tamasha will stage a Pakistan-set interpretation of Lorca's The House of Bernarda Alba at Hampstead Theatre later this year, as part of their 21st anniversary season."

This company sounds like a very creative, inventive, and passionate group of individuals. Having a cast of all women really does say something, because most of our business is dominated by men. I think it is also incredibly inspiring that this group is their theater-circus project for the 2012 Olympics. I'm curious to see where they will draw a lot of their inspiration for, if it will be similar to Cirque or how they will make the performance their own.
